Beautiful beaches of Bridport

This seaside village boasts a wide variety of beaches from wide, golden sandy beaches to secluded, rocky coves. From the centre of Bridport they can be accessed through the car park behind the Community Hall where the all tides, safe boat ramp is located.
Most of the beaches are accessed through the caravan park located in Bentley Street. Unfortunately, there is no car access through the park but there is visitor parking signposted.

At the far end of Bentley Street is the Old Pier where the wide sandy beach attracts most visitors. Here, there is also a boat ramp, best accessed at higher tides.

Mermaids Pool is signposted nearby. This provides safe swimming at high tide and rock diving.
An unsealed road, maintained by Parks and Wildlife, leads to Granite Point. All along this road, the foreshore beaches provide secluded spots, where rock fishing is popular.
At the car park and turning circle at the end of this road are two paths both leading to Lades(Adams beach) where dogs are welcome.

Please note dogs are not allowed on other Bridport beaches or the foreshore nor the Caravan Park.
