Ringarooma

Ringarooma is the centre of a prosperous dairy and crop farming district, dating back to the late 1860’s. Its local scenic attractions kept secret while the world passes it by. Only those intrepid tourists who dare to leave the main highway see and appreciate the beauty and the history of the area. There are superb views from the top of Mathinna Hill, with mountain and pastoral scenery. Another road through the Mt Victoria Forest Reserves gives access to the Magnificent Ralph Falls and the wilderness areas that will delight the mountaineer and bushwalker.

Pleasant drives on the New River road and the Alberton road are well worth doing, Ruby Flat Road between Ringarooma and Branxholm passes through pioneer mining areas. There are a number of convenience stores; general store, butchery, haidresser, an hotel, also an Online access centre and a primary school.The surrounding coutry side offers some spectacular scenes.
