Burns's Bay Boat Ramp

The major access for boats to the ocean in the St.Helens Area. The boat ramp can be accessed by 3 boats at a time and has jetty access. There is a breakwater to stop waves from entering the area. It is easy access for launching boats of a variety of sizes.
The ramp is used extensively in the summer months to access the rich tuna fishing areas which are only a short distance from the boat ramp. The ramp was built by the sportfishing club in St.Helens and is well maintained. Boats can be launched from several sites in Georges Bay but it is often easier for sea fishing to launch at the Burns's Bay Ramp.

| To find the boat ramp follow the Steiglitz road after turning off at the road just inside the St.Helens speed limit. Follow the road to the end, about 15 minutes drive and good fishing. |
