Holder Bros Store

The Proprietors, Henry and Robyn Holder have a family connection with the store dating back to 1885 and the premises are a magnificent example of Georgian blended with Victorian architecture. The original shop was comprised of two single storey stores resembling the sub-structure at the right of the photo. The proprietors name was Standage and these stores date back to 1859. The Holder Bros acquired the property in 1885 and the upstairs bedroom extensions were completed in 1892. The two stores were combined as one shop more recently in 1954. There are many fine old 19th Century buildings in Fingal.
