Queensland Surf

The surf went flat for a week and I did the old theme park thing but then I got a bit desperate and headed off to Byron Bay for a few days. I booked in to a cabin at Clarkes Beach just inside the Pass. When I looked over the bank this is the site before me. The Pass and inside Clarkes was going off. The swell had just hit.

Broken Head

More waves down the road at Broken Head when the wind turned a bit.

Broken

Crankin right handers barrelling across sand and water temp is still 20 degrees.

Snapper Rocks

The banks at snapper are the best they have ever been, every day the barge scoops the sand fromn the tweed river and dumps it right on the end of the point so the sand just spreads out down the point. Rainbow Bay is full of sand and Kirra is starting to fill in as well. The crowds are off the show.
