Our Vision
For the Break O'Day area to be a self-reliant community in which we, the people, work together in partnership to strengthen local autonomy and action through integrated planning of land and maritime management and the provision of quality and affordable infrastructure and community services; sustainable development; and the protection of our natural environmental and unique lifestyle and heritage. For the Council to provide leadership to ensure we all enjoy, and future generations inherit, a Break O'Day area with a scenic and unspoilt coastline; natural bushland and waterways; viable, clearly defined settlement nodes and service centres; productive farms, forests, fisheries and mines; and a vibrant private sector with opportunities for sustainable development.
