Pyengana

Pyengana
There are load restrictions on this windy, narrow road, where hand constructed dry stone walls, built in the 1920s Great Depression can still be seen.

The day use area on a high ridge under Mt Victoria features Ralphs Falls plummeting over a fluted cliff to a gorge below. A 10 minute stroll through old myrtle rainforest leads to the lookout over the falls.

A longer return loop to the carpark through tall melaleuca and mossy banks, passes the Cash’s Gorge Lookout from which it is an easy walk on duckboard across button grass plain to the carpark.

On the way from here to Pyengana, visit St Columba Falls.

Further tourist information is available at the St Helens History Room in St Helens (opposite the Post Office).
