The Bakeoff is now conducted
as part of the Bay of Fires
Festival.
Every year, when the water is
warm and the weather (as usual)
sublime, Binalong Bay, in the
spectacular Bay of Fires, is
the venue for the Great Abalone
Bake-off. This is your opportunity
to sample first hand the culture
of this vibrant Tasmanian community. |

The main event |

| Fifteen
local chefs compete for the
perpetual trophy followed by
a free abalone tasting! All
the recipes are compiled in
a cookbook that is for sale
on the day. Fine wine and beer:
We are licensed to sell Hazards
Ale and award winning Freycinet
wines. |

Entertainment |

by top class local musicians.
All this in the idyllic surrounds
of the Bay of Fires ... the
place where we live. |
